Add the first 10 ingredients into a medium saucepan and simmer for 45 minutes (or longer if you prefer a thicker sauce).
Measure the remaining ingredients into the BBQ sauce and blend with a stick blender (or use a blender) until smooth. Taste and adjust seasonings.
Taste the next day and adjust further as it will mellow upon cooling. This results in a tangy sauce.
Cool completely, pour into a clean airtight container, and refrigerate up to 10 days.
Variation: Saute the onions and garlic in 1 tbsp butter until softened, then add the rest of the ingredients.
Add the remaining butter after cooking. This results in a more mellow flavored sauce.

Cook for 5 -10minutes more, if the ketchup is too thin.

An easy no-cook low carb marinara sauce that is loaded with flavor, not sugar! It’s the perfect keto tomato sauce for Fathead Pizza, or to serve with zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash when you need a keto pasta fix!

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

2 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp salt (add more if necessary)
Puree the tomatoes, olive oil, and 1/2 cup of the liquid from the can in a small blender or magic bullet.
