Does Keto Lead To Gout?

So the ketogenic diet does not cause gout. You see people with gout actually have fewer flare-ups of their gal bladder and they have less severe flare-ups of their gout. There are actually two things that cause Gout. It is high levels of insulin that happen due to chronic inappropriate inflammation in your joints, that is what causes Gout. Insulin is high inflammation that happens because of eating a high carbohydrate diet full of grains and full of vegetable oils. That’s what causes gout, not Keto.

Dr. Ken Berry believes that Keto doesn’t lead to Gout by upping one’s Uric Acid Levels. He adds that the real reason that causes gout is high levels of insulin and it’s chronic inappropriate inflammation in your joints that caused high levels of Uric Acid. Dr. further mentions that eating a high carbohydrate diet full of grains and full of vegetable oils is what causes High inflammation. He finishes up by dismissing that Keto is a completely different diet and has nothing to do with High Uric Acid Levels.
